YEAH!! I'm so excited to share with you about the Photography 101 Class that I did this past month.
Now, I have never taught a Photography class before so it was a big undertaking to actually organize my thoughts, bring together what I have learned and share my favorite skills. I wanted to create a class that gave beginners a jump start on their learning, a fun place to interact and ask questions as they learned. The class was hands on too, I always learn best when I see someone else demonstrate and then I am able to do the same thing myself.
Learning the buttons and knobs is fun, but putting that into practice was even more fun with our model, who helped us out the very last night of the class.
Janey called and asked for a photo session at Sweet Briar College before it closed. (It was rescued from closing, but we didn't know that yet.) She would soon be transferring and wanted to document her time at Sweet Briar because it had meant so much to her. She had stepped out on her own, in a whole new world and had loved every minute.
I learned, as we visiting Janey's favorite spots, how she come to Sweet Briar from China. We talked, laughed and had so much fun together.
This last one was enlarged for one of her canvas images as well as included in her beautiful album. She was so happy. Afterwards she texted and said again,"They are amazing!!! Like art work from you angles, I feel so pretty!! Beautiful, yes!"
This was one of the canvas collection options she had to choose from too.
Graduating for high school is such a mile stone in everyone's life. Leaving behind the norms, changing the place of your education for college, jobs or the military all mean taking a risk. It's also exciting at the same time.
This fun session began with Emily's makeup session and then we were off to find some bold, fun and unique spots. Downtown Lynchburg gave us lots to explore!
And the class ring!! I remember how awesome it was to FINALLY get my class ring!
I'm a wife and Mother. I care about what is important in life, marriage and family.
