Bridal Makeup Interview//Lynchburg,Va

Picture
The experience of having your makeup done is very relaxing and exciting. As Brittany Nicole say, "Your face is my canvas." It's so amazing to watch the application of makeup really transform a person.

Today is day 2 of our interview about Bridal Makeup with Brittany Nicole Makeup.

Holly Ann: Does the brides "favorite look" always turn out the same the picture?
Brittany Nicole: Not exactly. The bride does not look like the girl in the photo. The bride is a different canvas. The eye shape or eye color is different, the face shape is different; and the girl in the photo may have blonde hair and the bride is a brunette. My job as a makeup artist is to use that photograph as inspiration to create a unique look for the bride and emulate the look she would like.

Holly Ann: How do you decide what look is best for someone with brown eyes vs. blue eyes?
Brittany Nicole: The eye shadow shades I choose are important. For brown eyes I use warm, neutral tones. Metallic eyeshadows are perfect for brown eyes, it give it a nice pop against the warmer tones. For blue eyes, I use golds, copper, bronze and brown eyeshadows. These shades draw you directly to the brides eye color.

Holly Ann: Should I use false lashes if I never wear them normally?
Brittany Nicole: Absolutely! False eyelashes add a little more drama to the eye makeup. False eyelashes also photograph very well and make the eyes appear more prominent. Brides who don't normally wear false lashes, I recommend them choosing lashes that are "natural", these types of lashes add more length and definition but still look like they could be your eyelashes.

Holly Ann: How is having your makeup done professionally different than doing it yourself?
Brittany Nicole: A professional makeup artist has the technique and knowledge for the complete look the brides desires. We know what's best for your eye shape, eye color, face shape and skin tone.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"Holly did a beautiful job photographing our wedding . Not only were the pictures fantastic, but so was her presence. She really becomes part of the whole day and not just the photographer. It was so wonderful to have someone so sweet to spend our special day with. Our package included a digitally created album with pictures of our own selection. When we got the album tonight we were amazed. It was absolutely beautiful and brought my husband and I right back to our special day. I not only recommend her for her terrific work, but also for her terrific personality! :)" Linsey
